6th Steel Day

On March 18, 2025, the sixth edition of the Steel Day took place in Warsaw. The theme of this year’s Conference was “Steel in Industry 4.0”. One of the Conference blocks, co-organized with the Ministry of Industry, was devoted to the use of steel in the construction of the first Polish nuclear power plant.

During Steel Day, speakers from international corporations supplying technology for the nuclear industry, as well as representatives of BUILD WITH STEEL Partner Companies – representatives of the largest domestic companies in the steel construction industry, gave their speeches.

The Ministry of Industry was represented by Jacek Michał Zalewski, who presented the current status of the Polish nuclear energy program, while Andrzej Kochmański from the Office of Technical Inspection spoke about the tasks of UDT in the nuclear project.

The second panel included representatives BUILD WITH STEEL Partner companies. The guest of the Steel Day was Aleksandra Stępniak, who raised the subject of the challenges of sustainable construction in the context of the VELUX group strategy and the use of low-emission steel supplied by, among others, ArcelorMittal Poland.

The next presentations were given by: Grzegorz Kowalik (Polish Galvanizing Society) and Rafał Krzymowski (Construsoft Polska). The last lecture was given by Wojciech Ochojski (ArcelorMittal Poland), who talked about innovative technological solutions in the bridge industry.

The 6th Steel Day took place in the Skyfall Warsaw – one of the highest viewing terraces in Poland, the heart of which is a completely glazed four-person platform with a view of the city panorama. It is the only such attraction in Europe.

We thank all the speakers and participants for celebrating the Steel Day together!
