Off-site training for students of Poznań University of Technology – 4 December, 2024

On December 4, 2024, at the invitation of Polish Chamber Of Steelwork President Zbigniew Barłog, the BUILD WITH STEEL Program hosted students of the Poznań University of Technology in an off-site training course that took place on the premises of Metalbark sp. z o.o. sp.k. and Metalcynk sp. z o.o.

METALBARK is one of the most modern companies on the steel construction market in Europe. For over 30 years, it has specialised in advanced technologies for the production of steel structures. Many years of experience, specialist staff and the necessary certificates and authorisations allow the company to supply steel structures for commercial, sports, industrial and public utility facilities.

Thanks to the direct vicinity of the Metalcynk galvanising plant belonging to the ZINQ group, with a tank measuring 19,000 mm x 1,900 mm x 3,300 mm and a paint shop, METALBARK offers its customers high quality anti-corrosion protection.

Students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Transport at the Poznań University of Technology saw all stages of the operation of a modern production plant – from receiving raw materials to issuing finished steel elements to the customer. They also saw how the hot-dip galvanising process of steel structures works.

We would like to thank Mr. President Zbigniew Barłog for the opportunity to organize the training, which certainly familiarized the Students with the area of steel construction and was a valuable supplement to theoretical knowledge. We would like to thank Mr. Adam Szafrański and Mr. Sławomir Michalski from Metalbark for their organizational help. We would also like to thank Mr. Damian Siemiński and Mr. Kamil Zimnicki for showing us around the Metalcynk sp. z o.o. plant.
